Social Skills Development Group for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)

 

Date Begins:  February 7, 2012  (Runs for 12 weeks)
Time:  4:00 - 5:00 pm (Tuesday afternoons)
Location:
 
Participants:  6-9 year old children displaying social skills challenges associated with
                   Asperger's Disorder and High Functioning Autism
Elements:  Active, skill-based play and conversation

Costs:   12 1-hour sessions and snacks - $300.00
            A required, one-time 1 hour parent and child interview - $75.00
            Optional consultation with parents based on findings - $25/15 minutes

Services included:  Weekly parent extension activities for home
                            A written social skill profile of child's strengths, challenges
                              and progress based on parent/teacher rating scales.
                            This profile can be provided after final group session.
